Fiber Optic Training

Modern communication lines must be designed, installed and maintained by qualified telecommunications personnel. The operation of the entire fiber optic line depends on them. A few years ago, the Center of Technical Competence called FOCL.Expert was created by Svyazstroydetal and Inkab, the largest manufacturers of components for the construction of FOCL in Russia.

The VOLS.Expert training center provides services of further vocational education in the field of design, technical supervision, installation and testing of fiber optic lines. The educational sessions take place both at the training center in Moscow and at the customer's location (License No. 040736 issued by the Moscow Education Department.)

The company's ultimate goal is to increase the expertise and skills of technicians in the communications industry. More than 8,000 professionals in the field of communications in the Russian Federation have been trained by the Training Center instructors since 2004.

Training programs

The workshops are focused exclusively on practical applications. Up to 70% of the time is devoted to mastering practical skills. The training is provided by instructors with years of real experience of working on communication lines. The training center is certified by the world's largest manufacturers of splicing and testing equipment such as Fujikura, Sumitomo, Yokogawa, Exfo, Furukawa.

Upon completion of the training, trainees are granted with:

• Certificate for installation of Svyazstroydetal's closures;
• Certificate of proficiency in types and constructions of Inkab fiber optic cables;
• Certificate for operating Fujikura or Sumitomo splicing machines;
• Certificate for operating EXFO or Yokogawa test and measurement equipment;
• Certificate of advanced training in the VOLS.Expert Non-State Institution of Further Vocational Education.
